Psychedelic Club of San Mateo was founded on October 4th, 2019 in San Mateo, CA. Since then, we have grown to over two-hundred and fifty members by hosting barbeques, dinners, and monthly meetings in the Bay Area. Our volunteers have helped deliver food to those in need and have raised money for local nonprofits. We have launched an Artist Initiative that has, since the beginning, connected talented artists from all over the world to the greater psychedelic community. We believe in equality and have always encouraged individuals from all backgrounds to participate openly in our club without judgement. By working closely with the community, our nonprofit has achieved some modest success in unprecedented times.
Today, we continue to host meaningful discussions related to psychedelics and continuously search for innovative ways to reach a larger audience, albeit, complications related to the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. With grassroot beginnings rooted in the local community, we believe the way to a more psychedelic world is through free, public education. Faced with a future full of uncertainties, our club remains focused on bringing the public together for meaningful discussions related to psychedelics.
Our Club, a 501(c)3 non-profit incorporated in the state of California, is also a branch of Psychedelic Club, a non-profit organization based in Denver, CO. For more information about the first chapter in Colorado, visit www.psychedeliclub.com.
