We are a non-exclusive group of like-minded individuals with a common goal. Our team is dedicated to mainstream acceptance of psychedelics and is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to aid us in our mission. Contact us now to join our free social club and help us educate the public about the benefits of psychedelic drugs. We are always in need of volunteers and offer many community service opportunities.
Psychedelic Club of San Mateo was founded on October 4th, 2019 in San Mateo, CA. Since then, we have grown to over two-hundred and fifty members by hosting barbeques, dinners, and monthly meetings in the Bay Area. Our volunteers have helped deliver food to those in need and have raised money for local nonprofits. We have launched an Artist Initiative that has, since the beginning, connected talented artists from all over the world to the greater psychedelic community. We believe in equality and have always encouraged individuals from all backgrounds to participate openly in our club without judgement. By working closely with the community, our nonprofit has achieved some modest success in unprecedented times.
Today, we continue to host meaningful discussions related to psychedelics and continuously search for innovative ways to reach a larger audience. Our favorite method for bringing our message to the masses is a fusion of live music and informative, group discussion. Who said events had to be boring? Our aim is to create events that increase cohesion in the local community. We accomplish this with live music, free food, psychedelic education, and positive energy. Come see why our events are the best for yourself!
Our Club, a 501(c)3 non-profit incorporated in the state of California, is also a branch of Psychedelic Club, a non-profit organization based in Denver, CO. For more information about the first chapter in Colorado, visit www.psychedeliclub.com.
Our goal is simple: mainstream acceptance of psychedelics. Psychedelic Club of San Mateo is founded on cognitive liberty and, therefore, we believe individuals should be free to explore their consciousness. We are dedicated to educating the public about the potential benefits and risks associated with psychedelics. Incorporated as a nonprofit and public charity, our top priority is the people. Our social club aims to demystify psychedelics and start the dialogue that brings psychedelic culture into the mainstream. We believe that we can succeed in achieving our goal by hosting both free, and paid, meetings and by utilizing community service opportunities in the San Francisco Bay Area.
By gradually bringing public awareness to the potential risks and benefits associated with psychedelics, we hope to make psychedelic compounds more accessible for scientific research. Psychedelic compounds, like LSD and Psilocybin, are currently Schedule I Controlled Substances in the United States. Due to their highly illegal status, psychedelic drugs are understudied and are mainly associated with the counter-cultural movement of the 1960's - the glory days of psychedelics.
Yet, today, a new generation of scientists is discovering that psychedelic drugs may hold the key to treating a number of mental health disorders. Avid entrepreneurs are racing to capitalize on the growing interest of psychedelic medicines being developed by a rapidly growing industry of small, psychedelic companies.
With so much buzz surrounding psychedelics, there is also a fair amount of misinformation and rumors floating around. Regardless of the fate of psychedelics, we believe in the importance of hosting safe spaces to discuss without judgement. With the benefit of the general public in mind, our club intends to share information about the normally taboo subject of psychedelic drugs. We believe everyone has a universal right to explore their own consciousness. That is why we stick to our motto, minds without borders, to ensure the public knows enough information about psychedelics to make their own informed decisions.
Thank you for visiting the Psychedelic Club of San Mateo's website. We are a locally based chapter of Psychedelic Club, which was originally founded at University of Boulder in Colorado. Psychedelic Club of San Mateo is a nonprofit organization that is Founded on Cognitive Liberty and mission-oriented towards mainstream acceptance of psychedelic drugs. Our goal is to educate the public about psychedelics via free meetings, forums, seminars, discussions, and other paid events. The Psychedelic Club of San Mateo was conceived on October 4th, 2019 during a barbeque, was officially founded on February 28th, 2020, and has grown to become a rapidly expanding tax-exempt 501c3 charity. Our club is founded on the idea that through an open, honest dialogue, coupled with a grassroots community movement, we can revolutionize the national perspective towards psychedelic drugs and enable individuals to exercise their natural right to cognitive liberty.
We are always organizing new events, meetings, exhibitions, and more in the San Francisco Bay Area so check back regularly and visit our News page for the latest happenings. Community activism and volunteer work is where our core values are rooted. That is why we are constantly searching for stand-up individuals to help us with our cause of pushing psychedelic compounds further into the spotlight. Together we can accomplish anything we set our minds to. Let us be the change that we wish to see in the world and work together to achieve it!
